Opportunity to join a national firm to support their continued growth and engagement for the Sydney office!

- Hybrid working, CBD location with salary between $140 - $160k package.
The Company
With a near 200 year history, our client is one of Australia’s most trusted and respected commercial law firms, combining a wealth of knowledge & expertise with a solutions-focused approach to achieve the best outcomes for their clients. With offices in Perth, Adelaide and across the Eastern Seaboard, they provide advisory services across a number of specialties and verticals. Due to an internal promotion, they are looking for their next HR Manager to join the team to work with the business to continue the sophistication of the function as they reach new growth milestones!
The Leaders
This role reports directly into the Director of HR, who is a passionate, vibrant and experienced leader who will closely support you in the role and help you to influence change amongst senior leaders. There is an HR Manager in each of the key offices across Australia, as well as an HR Coordinator to support you with administrative tasks.
The Opportunity
As the HR Manager, you will work closely with Partners, Practice Leads and the business functions to provide support across the employee lifecycle. Working with leaders, you will advise on best practice that will see an uplift in capability, performance and engagement. Your strategic mindset will see you support discussions around workforce utilization for client engagements and talent and succession planning.
More broadly, you will work as part of a national HR team with the opportunity to work on projects that sit outside of your client group that support the strategic people plan.
Further, you will:
- Work with stakeholders to manage employee relations matters, providing coaching and advice.
- Manage the day to day needs of practice groups around workforce utilization, capability development and engagement
- Oversee and lead the annual and cyclical people processes including remuneration reviews, performance reviews, talent and succession planning
- Work closely with the talent acquisition and learning team to ensure alignment in programs of work for your practice
- Work with the HR Director to provide input into the broader people strategy, aligned to the overarching goals of the organisation
- Develop new processes and ways of working to support the enhancement of the people function
About You
To see success, you will have demonstrated generalist and business partnering experience working in the legal or professional services industry. Your ability to build strong and credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels is key, along with your ability to influence.
You will leverage your experience working to deliver core people programs such as remuneration reviews, performance and talent to add value to the business and drive strategic initiatives. Further to this, the ability to coach and guide leaders around employee relations and uplift leadership capability.
Above all, you will be a collaborative HR professional who thrives working in a hands-on impactful role and a desire to bring new ideas to the table!
